2. Information We Access & Permissions

A. User-Selected Images (Photos and Media)

The App is an AI image enhancer. To upscale or enhance an image, you explicitly select it using your device's file/photo picker.

• Strict Scope: We only access the specific image file(s) you actively choose to enhance. The App never scans your entire gallery or accesses photos you haven't picked.
• Device Permissions:
  • READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (Android 13+): Grants permission to select photos from your device gallery.
  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 & below): Grants permission to pick images stored on external storage.
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 10 & below): Allows saving enhanced images back into your device gallery.
  • INTERNET: Enables secure network communication to upload images to the enhancement backend and download results.

B. Technical Diagnostics & Telemetry

When communicating with the processing API, non-personal standard server headers (e.g. IP address, request timestamp, operating system, and app version) may be processed temporarily to ensure system stability, prevent abuse, and handle rate-limiting.

3. Data Processing, Retention & Automated Deletion

• No Public AI Training: Your uploaded images are never used to train, retrain, or improve public AI or machine learning models.
• No Commercial Sale: We never sell, rent, license, or share your images or personal data with advertising networks, brokers, or third parties.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to safeguard user data:

• Encryption in Transit: All communication between the mobile app and our servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS / HTTPS).
• Strict Access Isolation: Queued images are isolated within internal server workspaces accessible only by the automated single-worker processing pipeline.

5. Google Play Data Safety Compliance

In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety section:

• Data Collected: Photos and Videos (User-selected images collected exclusively for app functionality).
• Data Shared: No user photos or personal information are shared with external third parties or advertisers.
• Data Retention & Deletion: Data is ephemeral. Images and job logs are purged within 24 hours. Users can request immediate deletion at any time.
• Security Practices: Data is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS/TLS.

6. Children's Privacy

Image Pixel Upscz is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us for immediate deletion.

Under regulations such as GDPR or CCPA, you have the right to request access to or deletion of any data associated with your interaction with our service. Since images are automatically purged within 24 hours, long-term storage does not exist.
